Maximum Fees ($)

Application Fee – There are no laws that state the maximum application fee in North Carolina.
Security Deposit – The maximum amount a landlord may charge for a security deposit is two month’s rent. (§ 42-51(b)) For month-to-month rentals, the maximum is one and one- half month’s rent.
