Maximum Fees ($)

• Application Fee – It cannot exceed 10% of the monthly rent or $50, whichever is greater. (§ 5514(d))
• Security Deposit – The landlord cannot charge more than 1 month’s rent for unfurnished properties. (§ 5514(a))
• Pet Deposit – A landlord may charge a fee for possible damage caused by a pet. The additional deposit cannot exceed 1 month’s rent. Landlords cannot charge for pets that are duly trained and certified support animals for disabled tenants. (§ 5514(i))
